New restaurants are constantly popping up, especially in Boston’s South End. The South End hosts some of Boston's favorite dining spots, especially along Tremont Street aptly crowned restaurant row, conveniently located at the corner of our street.

Most restaurants in the South End are typically smaller in size, superior in quality with chic atmospheres & intriguing environments. You will feel more like a well-versed local than a tourist at any of the tables below. Aquitaine has established itself as the premier French bistro in the South End. Offering innovative, yet traditional French cuisine, the comfortable restaurant offers an extensive wine list as well.

Nestled on the corner of Tremont and Waltham Streets, B&G's open concept kitchen as been attracting diners from far and wide. Patrons come for the lobster roll and stay for some of the freshest seafood in Boston. A creation of award winning chef Barbara Lynch.

The Beehive is part jazz club, part restaurant. The dining room has an eclectic and historic atmosphere where you'll nibble on bites influenced from cuisines from around the world. Also offering live music each night, the cherry on top of the delicious food.

The Butcher Shop is an upscale wine bar masquerading as a charcuterie. Enjoy the young professional crowd and the freshest meats hanging around - also by chef Barbara Lynch.

The Buttery is situated on one of the best corners in the South End for people watching & dog admiring. The Buttery offers the perfect combination of quaint neighborhood coffee shop by day and a full service restaurant by night with hidden downstairs a romantic dining room. You may recognize the interior from the Oscar Award winning film Spotlight.

If you're craving steak with style, Boston Chops on Washington Street is the perfect place to go. Their wide open dining room with tiny alcove seating provides an intimate experience. Their top notch cuts of meat go perfectly with the complimentary popovers served before dinner. Good luck eating just one!

The most prized bakery in Boston has three locations, but we are partial to its home on Washington Street in the South End. Joanne Chang serves sweet treats like cupcakes & sugar brioche along with breakfast and lunch items. Flour is extremely popular among the locals, so get there early if you even want to think about tasting one of the infamous sticky buns. Flour is also the "go to" for dinner parties, when you want to effortlessly surprise your host with a fabulous dessert.

Located on the the gorgeous Union Park Street of the South End, this new Greek eatery is proving already to be a neighborhood favorite. Simple Greek dishes derived from the freshest ingredients make for a delicious meal. We are perpetually craving their grilled octopus.

Located right on the line between the South End and Back Bay neighborhoods, Mistral has been serving upscale Mediterranean cuisine for over a decade. The warm dining room is filled with tables that are covered in white linens, making it the perfect destination for a romantic dinner.
ORINOCO

Orinoco is the only Venezuelan restaurant in the neighborhood serving amazingly fresh and delicious Venezuelan treats and generous glasses of Sangria. The kitchen is busy and popular- go early or for lunch.
PETIT ROBERT

Located right around the corner from Clarendon Square, this gem of the neighborhood is perfect for a romantic night out. The cozy dining room is the perfect place to enjoy a meal of fresh French cuisine. In the kitchen you will find Chef Jacky Robert, a well known chef in Boston and on the west coast. We highly recommend the onion soup, it's perfect for a cool New England evening.

Post 390 serves up modern American cuisine in a space that is almost two different restaurants in one. On the first floor you will find the warm tavern with our favorite lobster roll on the menu all year. On the second floor there is a large dining room with a larger menu. In cold weather we love having a cocktail by the fireplace in the first floor lounge.

In this trendy neighborhood eatery you will find chic Dim Sum and Asian fusion fare. South End darling, Chef Joanne Chang injects fabulous flavors and love into this area favorite. Most dishes on the menu are perfect for sharing. Make sure you set reservations in advance on the weekends as tables book up quickly.

Stephi's is a favorite of Clarendon guests and staff alike. Located about a 5 minute walk from the inn, this neighborhood bistro serves up creative signature salads and other inventive dishes. If you like Bloody Mary's this is for you as you can add a fun ingredients such as shrimp and bacon.
STELLA

Stella is one of the stars of the South End as the Italian name suggests. Dine on northern Italian food in their stylish and modern dining room. However, we recommend getting a seat at the bar and chatting with the friendly staff while nibbling on their to-die-for flatbreads and sipping on their delicious cocktails.
RED LANTERN

Red Lantern is over the top in the best way possible, from the fun décor to their upscale take on the scorpion bowl. The cuisine is mostly Chinese but there are influences from other Asian cultures as well. Their portions are large enough to share. It is always a fun time at Red Lantern.
TORO

The brain child of chef Ken Oringer, Toro is Boston's premiere destination for authentic Spanish-style tapas. The lively atmosphere is matched by the innovative tapas. The cocktails are amazing and so is the food. We recommend the pork belly, our mouths are watering just thinking about it.
BAR MEZZANA

The new kid on the Ink Block is Colin Lynch's (nephew of B&G's Susan Lynch) Italian restaurant, Bar Mezzana. Have a seat in the bright dining room while feasting on Italian coastal cuisine. A unexpected gem on their menu is their wide variety of crostinis.
