Top Three Restaurant for Mexican Dining in Boston

In the mood for Mexican tonight? Whether you are on a weekend getaway to New
England, a guest of Clarendon Square Bed and Breakfast, or a resident of the
city, Boston has several great choices to pick from. Our three favorites are
dishing up authentic and innovative cuisine, have distinct and inviting
atmospheres and are sure to leave you coming back for more.

1. Temazcal Cantina – There are very few views in Boston as breathtaking as the
one from Temazcal Cantina. Nestled into the heart of the Boston Seaport
District just steps from the Boston Tea Party Museum, Temazcal features
sweeping Boston Harbor views, more than 300 bottles of tequila to choose from
and an elevated menu sure to delight. Instead of opting for traditional
Guacamole, try their lobster version with large chunks of Maine lobster and
Serrano chilies. The chilie rellano is served with a pepitas quinoa, an
innovative and delicious take on traditional rice. Their skillet jalapeno
cheddar corn bread with anejo honey butter is a must order!

2. Cassa Romero – When you step from their side alley entrance into Cassa
Romero, you are instantly transported into the heart of Mexico. With bright
Talavera tiles adorning the walls, the space is unlike anything else
you will find in Boston’s Back Bay. Their signature tenderloin of pork
marinated in oranges and smoked chipotle peppers is not to be missed. They also
cater to vegetarians, with many hearty and flavorful options. They even feature
several of their most popular recipes on their website!

3. Papagayo – With locations on Summer and West streets in Boston, Papagayo is
a great mix of traditional, modern and fun. From ceviche and guacamole prepared
tableside, to ancho chili glazed short ribs, the menu is eclectic and sure to
please anyone who walks through the door. They also feature more
traditional options including enchiladas, tacos and burritos. We love the presentation
of their fish tacos! Make sure to save room for dessert, you won’t
find their famous tequila snow cone anywhere else in Boston!

So whether you go with Temazcal Cantina, Cassa Romero or Papagayo, you are
sure to enjoy your Mexican dining experience. We truly enjoy that all
three restaurants have thoughtful cocktail menus, premium tequilas and a wine
menu that enhances the menu. Be sure to check out some of our other favorite picks for dining at our best Boston restaurants page. Guests of our New England bed and breakfast can
ask one of the Clarendon Square Hosts to make them reservations during their next visit!
